個人的には、「百合ベイト」とか文句言ってる人たちは恋愛物語の本質を見失ってると思うんだ。

I’m in the same boat. IMO people that complain about “yuri baiting” or whatever are completely missing the point of a love story. Who *cares* that they don’t kiss or formally date? Is that really the only way to depict love? Of course not!
That being said, if people want to read a potential relationship from their friendship, then by all means do so; all the pieces are there.

Nah, that’s how he always is. Looks sudden because he wasn’t given any focus previously, but the official website for season 3 mentioned that he is well liked in the club because of his personality.
It was hinted in the second year movie that he gets along well with Motomu, and unlike with other members who isn’t Midori, Motomu doesn’t snap when Shuichi talked/teases him.
