不老不死の物語っていつも興味深いよね。
このアニメ、『フリーレン』の直後に来たから、その切なくて甘苦しい感じがマジで心に刺さる。『Unnamed Memory』も期待できそうだけど、コメント見る限り、漫画やラノベのかなりの部分をカットしてるらしいね。
I’ve always loved stories about the plight of immortality, and coming as this show does right on the heels of Frieren it really hits that melancholy bitter-sweet spot. Unnamed Memory is also looking promising, though according to commenters it appears to be skipping much of the manga and LN.

I believe she was still feeling very vulnerable and wanted “warmth” (she speaks of the cold from being alone) though this might not be sexual or even romantic for her. I think she noticed the people out right after he got in bed with her. What you suggest doesn’t really make much sense as getting under the covers is just slowing down their escape.

Great episode! Lawrence crumpling up the drawing of his dream to dry up Holo’s tears is one of those early signature scenes of this series, and it was as wonderful here as in the LNs and in the first adaptation. I’m really liking this, my favorite of the season. And so much great stuff to come!

I don’t know anything more technical though holo states that she does not perish as long as that wheat is around, meaning even if the other half she has was burnt she would still continue to exist because of the half lawrence has.

In a shonen series, the protagonist would be freaking out, because teenagers are usually intimidated by sex. But this is a seinen, so when the female lead pulls the male lead she’s spent the past three episodes flirting with into bed and starts cuddling with him, he just tries to make a move on her, the way most adults would in that situation.
