Makes how Himmel picked up on this fact and commissioned all those statues of himself and their party as physical proof of their existence all the more heartwarming.

フランメが最後まで、フリーレンがまだ純粋に魔法を愛し、魔物退治のために教えたこと以上のものがあることを知っていることを確かめたがっていたのもいい。
ヒンメルがいつも彼女を褒めてくれるから、彼女も型にはまった呪文や楽しい呪文を探し求めたというのも、さらに意味が深まった。
I like how by the end Flamme wanted to make sure Frieren still genuinely loved magic and knew there was more to it than just what she taught her to slay demons. It adds even more meaning to how she also sought out unconventional or fun spells because Himmel would always praise her for them.

I like how demons can lie so easily with their words, but can’t with their mana. I guess it makes sense given their nature, and also the reason why they can even form a society in the first place, with the demon king at the top. Frieren really just pulled a gamer move on Aura at the end there. RIP Aura the Guillotine, at least you didn’t rainbow vomit after seeing Frieren’s overwhelming magic power.

This is further proven by Frieren’s comments about Aura’s magic. The scale naturally tilted towards Aura’s side because of her overwhelming mana which made it impossible for anyone else to know when Aura’s using her magic. Only when the scale started moving and tilting away from Aura’s side did Frieren know that the soul evaluation has started (and she knew when to start her epic monologue).

The music welling up just as Frieren was releasing her mana, just magnificent! The previous episode’s fight was a spectacle but this face off did not make this episode less entertaining.
