夏紀がまたしても奏に対してさらりとカウンター決めたね。
プールへのお誘いがギャップを埋める手段として使われてるのが面白いよね、リズと青い鳥みたい。
でも、音楽と雰囲気からすると、最後のシーンで真由が完全に悪役モードに突入したみたい。このペースで物語が進むなら、奏と真由の対立がもっと激しくなるのかな？
Yay, a win for Team Monaka! Nice to see Natsuki again with an effortless counter to Kanade.
Interesting to see a pool invite being used to bridge gaps again ala Liz. But the music and vibes really make it seem like Mayu has entered her villain mode in the final scene. Looks like we’re gonna be speeding through at this pace, perhaps they’re going to be going for a heavier Kanade/Mayu conflict?

ハハ、「これやらせたの君だからね、満足してる？」って感じ。
この手のアニメで主人公が直面する挑戦としては、真由が抱える問題を解決するのはかなり大変だよ。
Haha, more of a “you forced me to do this, I hope you’re happy now”. As much of a challenge for the protaganist to solve (Helping Mayu through whatever she’s going through) as you can get in this type of show.

このエピソードの最後で、久美子がすごく動揺してるし、音楽も不穏な感じだからね。
普通のアニメだったら、これで悪役の伏線を張るところだ。
だから、そういったヒントでそう思わせられるんだろうね。
でも、彼女がこの話で悪者になるのは場違いだと思うから、むしろ悲劇のヒロインになるんじゃないかなって。笑
I think because we the audience sees Kumiko feel so perturbed, and with the music so uneasy at the end of this episode and all. It’s how other shows would frame a secret villain. So we’re naturally primed to think that by these cues. But yeah, I think she’s going to be more of a tragic figure, since I think it would be out of place for her to be evil in this story hahaha

それで、久美子は全国大会で麗奈と一緒に演奏するために、ソロを取り戻すために頑張らないといけない感じ。
I think Mayu is gonna end up taking the soli away from Kumiko for Kansai and she’ll have to fight to get it back to play with Reina at Nationals.

私の予想では、そのチームは国内大会（少なくともこの段階では）に選ばれなかった人たちで組まれていて、まだ練習を続けているんだ（次の国内大会のオーディションがあるからね）。
そして、公式の大会には含まれないけど、地元の大会に参加している感じだよ。
My guess is that it’s a team made up of those who didn’t get selected for the official nationals competition (at least this stage of it) and they still get to practice (as there will be new auditions for the next round of nationals) and played in some local competition that’s not part of the official nationals tournament/campaign.

映画では他の焦点があったから、これにはあまり触れてないよ。
つばめと葉月のアンサンブルコンテストOVAでちょっとだけ言及されてるくらい。
彼らの名前は卒業した先輩たちにちなんでつけられてるんだって。
つまり、レガシーを引き継いでるってわけ。
The movies didn’t go through it as they had other focuses, and only a fleeting mention in the ensemble contest OVA between Kamaya and Hazuki. Their names are a reference to the recently graduated seniors so guess its just carrying on the legacy.

It was briefly alluded to in this season. Some of the first-years haven’t been coping well with the pressure of the competition so they’ve dropped out and joined Team Monaka which is less focused on being perfect and more about enjoying the club for what it is.
This way they can stay in the club and still contribute in their own way and improve in their own time.

うん、彼女がそのアイデアに少し興味を持ち始めてる感じだね。

I’d usually regard this as an off-hand remark by Hazuki, but [her telling Kumiko to become a teacher](https://imgur.com/a/bGNROna) is yet another piece of information that’s supporting the theory that Kumiko’s destined to become a music teacher.
Even Mamiko told her sister that she should just pick something that she’d like to do. If she were to consider her strengths and passions: playing music + guiding others = music teacher.

I told myself I wasn’t going to cry when it happened but even so just seeing Natsuki come back still broke me. Especially seeing her still able to annihilate Kanade like it was nothing.
Mayu is still rather boring.
Some nice KumiRei moments. I didn’t make the connection that they’d swapped bottoms too.

It was nice seeing the seniors chuckle when they noticed Kanade grabbed the snack after all, it does show how much they’ve matured, and shows Kanade still has a ways to go haha
